It's been an amazing week...

It's been an amazing week, the days just flew by.

I had written this long, detailed blog about it but myspace ate it, the fucker. So I took a hot shower, chilled, spent some time on the phone with my editor at In Cold Blog and talked to my old friend Gokor briefly. I did a voice over job for him this week, he loved it, in about an hour I'm going record more for him. I'm now the official voice of Gene & Gokor's Hayastan Academy, one of the highest rated martial arts schools in the world. Gokor loves my voice, he has asked me to do the ring announcing at his MMA tournaments. I answered that with a "HELL YEAH!". I always thought Ring announcing would be fun so I'm game.

I've been working and wearing many hats this week. I've got so much on my plate that I just keep plugging away. If I can't work on one project, I just slide on over to the other.

The guys in Herd the Humans love the rough cut of the video. That's awesome. I'm proud of it too. It's a different kind of video from what I've directed in the past. I know it's going to go over big when I'm finished and the final cut is released.

We've been presented with our first commercial sponsor for American Horrors by the network this week. Tomorrow I've got a phone conference to discuss in more detail the nuts and bolts of the deal. It's a solid product that Waka was a consumer of before we'd ever even had a tv show. I'm stoked.

Everyday things are moving forward and my career picks up more steam. I've been hearing back from the fans, they love The Garbage Man. That's so damn cool. I know I've said it before, it's ten tons off of my shoulders having this out in the world so I can focus on the current projects. I couldn't have asked for a better reception. I'm hearing from people I respect, and they are calling The Garbage Man "Brilliant."

I'm not kidding, everyday something cool has been happening.

Like last Friday night. I was booked for an hour and one role of voice acting for a Japanese Anime feature that will be released in theaters next year. They loved my work so much they kept me around all night, doing multiple roles. I had a blast. It was awesome, and I can't wait to do more. THANKS GLEN!

So much cool shit is happening behind the scenes here it's got my head spinning. Here's more Herd the Humans to check out. I'll have more American Horrors news next week.

Flash! He Stands for Everyone of US!

Yeah, I've got the Flash Gordon soundtrack turned up to eleven, taking a render break from my editing on Herd the Humans, gloating over a voice over job I just got. Can I get an Amen? I said can I get a mothafuckin' AMEN!

I've been wanting to do this kind of voice over work for years. I've done infomercial work, I've done some voice overs on sports biographies, a few charity pieces for kids after school programs, now I'll get to do some anime. Fuck yeah. I'm excited. I know I'm going to kill it.

We've got almost an entire season of American Horrors under our belts, with the first half of the season cut and locked down. The show is great. We're getting great feedback from folks about the show. I'm getting great reviews on The Garbage Man, goddamn I can't begin to put into words how good it feels to finally have that project released. I sweated blood for that film, I'm proud of the way it turned out. Next week I've got big national conference calls to make with the network about the upcoming launches. Then there's the work we're doing to bring American Horrors to the states. Soon folks, very soon, we're going to on the air around the world.

Life's going pretty damn good for me. My career is in full on ascension. My work on In Cold Blog is bringing me a whole new audience. I mean, I had no idea the volume of readers and eyeballs that would be exposed to my story when I signed on, but it's boggling my mind. 56,000 eyeballs hit the In Cold Blog website last month, that's not counting the newsfeeds to my Dad's favorite paper, The Chicago Sun Times, or reposting of the ICB content or the Amazon Kindle numbers, but man it's sweet. My youtube channel has received over a half million plays. Can you dig it? Can I get an AMEN brothers and sisters!? I knew I could. Here's the stats: Videos Watched: 921 Videos Uploaded: 85 Video Views: 536,860 Favorites: 46 Channel Views: 16,628 Subscribers: 225 and that shit is climbing every damn day. That's with no tricks, no bots, no trick words in the tags, no bullshit, all killer no filler. The heat on our website is climbing too, soon we'll be starting to move into some more news and more clips, I'm stoked big time.

I've got the Flash Gordon theme cranked, baby, CRANKED! I'm on a serious natural high. Since Waka got ill and I found out who my friends really were, it's been a long process of healing and weeding out the parasites. Some of them don't want to actually live their lives, they're still too busy worried about me and what I'm up to without them. Too bad for them, I left that shit in my rear-view mirror. I'm focused on putting smiles on Waka's face and enjoying my day. Having my inner circle of vipers eliminated from my life has turned out to be the gift I've always needed without realizing it. Since that time, my life has gotten better day after day, minute after minute, and for that, I'm goddamn grateful.

Waka's illness and their actions were a serious kick to my head and a reboot to my entire system. I've learned a lot from my past. I took a hard look at my life and made the tough decisions about the changes I needed to make to get to where I wanted to get. New diet, new habits, new exercise programs, new ways of doing business yet keeping the best of my old life and old ways at the same time.

It's a beautiful thing. My wife and I are closer than ever and I love her from head to toe. We laugh, we walk the dog together, we work together, I mean, she's just the most kick ass asset to have, a sharp smart woman, a great business partner, an amazing life partner, shit man, every night when I go to bed I hold onto her in bed and smile.

I'm a lucky, lucky man.

Gettin' luckier everyday...

(no subject)

Feeling good right now, grinnin' wide.

The new wolf pack I'm running with has been kicking some serious ass this month. Not only is October my favorite holiday month, it's also the big lead up to my wedding anniversary. I've been married six years now. We had a quiet evening at home, passing out candy to the kids. I can't tell you how much I love Halloween, loved it as a kid, love it now. It was a cool anniversary watching horror movies, relaxing.

To follow it up we headed out to a Full Moon evening with Moonspell. Fernando had a beautiful twinkle in his eye when he told me about his new love and the year he's had since last we'd gotten to share a drink together. The show at The Roxy was great. They really put on a great live show, Fernando is a powerful frontman. I'm looking forward to the days when I can utilize his talent in front of the camera. It was a very late night out for my little Waka. She was tired out but she likes the band too, made it all worth while.

My time has been full of invigorating work.

I've been pounding away at the building of the American Horrors brand and I've got some cool shit to crow about. Our new pack of demons, Gary & his wife Dawn, have been tearing it up over at the American Horrors website, www.americanhorrors.com, building our peer to peer site for potential networks to check our show, some great looking new designs from Dawn. Gary has been bringing me to some heavy players in the metal biz and the publishing biz, hookin' a brotha up right. He's also hooked me with some innovative product development opportunities, some new press opportunities, a new literary agent for getting the Boneyard Press material back in print and more. The guys kicking serious ass. Big bonus is he's another voice of experience for me to bounce my ideas off of and some of my business plays. You live and die by the company you keep, it's good to have this guy's voice at the other end of the phone.

Then there's the music video I'm cutting for Herd the Humans. It's kick ass. I'm knee deep in the editing process now and soon I'll be sending the band their first rough cut. It's a great change up from what I've done in the past. My next door neighbor's little girl, actor Jason "Heat" Rosell, Darling Clementine, all killed it. They were great. Already the video project has brought Herd the Humans serious heat, Like over 26,000 new views on their myspace page hot. That's what I'm bringing motherfuckers, I'm bringing the serious fucking heat.

I'm on fire.

I'm creating on all barrels and loving it. The editing room has been on fire all month long, finishing off the final cut of the American Horrors Fear in the Flatlands episode, and it's goddamn creepy and chilling. I'm proud of that show so much I'm making it our kick off episode. I've been on the phones killing the hours with the Sales & Marketing guy at my network in Europe. We're talking advertising options for the show, air times, roll out strategies, it's invigorating. The Network has two of it's six channels up on the air now. The sales guy loves American Horrors and the advertising opportunities I've lined up. I know my market, I know how to sell it, and people who fucking matter are taking notice.

Yes folks, we are much more than on our way.

I'm grateful for where I am right now, on the cusp of everything I've ever wanted to do in this business and more. I've got a great brand, a great group of people to work it with, good friends who are building me up, yeah, things are vastly different in my life than just a few short years ago, hell, even one fucking year ago.

I'm looking around my house, mind boggled with the new possibilities opening themselves up to me. I'm so excited about the work I'm doing in the genre I love, the way I'm going to be able to promote the next wave of blood letters and bone breakers, this is truly everything I've ever wanted to do.

And it's a beautiful day to be doing it.

Now go on over to http://americanhorrors.com/store/home.php and get yourself some discounted merch, we've got a lot of cool rare stuff up there!

GARY GUZZO JOINS THE AMERICAN HORRORS TEAM! REPOST/Press Release

GARY GUZZO JOINS THE AMERICAN HORRORS TEAM!
MUSIC & COMICS INDUSTRY VET GARY GUZZO TAKES ON THE AMERICAN HORRORS MARKETING & PUBLICITY DEPARTMENT!
LOS ANGELES, CA- American Horrors CEO and The Garbage Man writer/director, Hart D. Fisher, has announced the latest addition to his team, Gary Guzzo. As a seasoned veteran of the both the comics industry and the music industry, Gary Guzzo will be taking over as VP of Marketing and Publicity at American Horrors starting with a revamp of the American Horrors website.

“Gary brings a wealth of marketing experience and industry contacts you just can’t buy, it’s something you have to live & breath.” said Mr. Fisher "This is a man who knows how to innovate and take things to a higher level. He and his wife Dawn are serious additions to the American Horrors team. These are exactly the kind of people I want to have handling my vision.”

As a music industry vet, Gary Guzzo started his career as a sound man, then quickly becoming a successful concert promoter. Gary moved up to running his own tradeshow staging company, International Video, before selling it in 1992 to begin working in his favorite childhood medium, comic books. For his first foray in the genre, Gary Guzzo put together a relief program for victims of Hurricane Andrew with Marvel Comics. It was during his tenure at Marvel Comics that Gary first came into contact with the work of Hart D. Fisher, at the time the evil anti-christ of comics and Boneyard Press.

“During my tenure at Marvel I gravitated to the more independent creators, both within and outside of the company.” Said Gary. “Hanging at shows with Larry Welz, Mark Bode or Hart Fisher was more the norm than going to the Iron Man party. For me, that was where the action was.”

With several years working at Marvel Comics under his belt (straightening out their relationships with the fan press and retailers), Mr. Guzzo would go on to work as a consultant for Lorne Michael’s Broadway Comics and then Steve Massarsky’s Acclaim Comics. When asked about the recent sale of Marvel Comics to Disney Mr. Guzzo said:

“What do I think about Disney buying Marvel? Hell, I’m going to go work for Hart Fisher at American Horrors! Keep your eyes close to American Horrors over the next couple of months. If you think you know horror, you are in for a surprise. If you think you've been scared, you are dead wrong. If you think you've heard Death Metal, you better clean out your ears....and if you see something out of the corner of your eye, worry...because Hart Fisher is coming and chances are he's standing right in back of you! Sally Jesse? Are you rolling over in your grave yet?”

Hart D. Fisher is the writer/director of the critically acclaimed feature film, The Garbage Man, and the on camera host of American Horrors, a 2 hour television show showcasing all things horror, syndicated through out Europe and Scandinavia by The Global Broadcasting Company. Mr. Fisher is also a featured writer at the #1 True Crime site In Cold Blog (http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com).

AMERICAN HORRORS RELEASES THE DIRECTORS CUT OF CRITICAL DARLING NOBODY LOVES ALICE

AMERICAN HORRORS RELEASES THE DIRECTORS CUT OF CRITICAL DARLING NOBODY LOVES ALICE
CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED NEW FILMMAKER ROGER A. SCHECK TWEAKS HIS INDIE SHOCKER WITH HART D. FISHER

LOS ANGELES, CA- American Horrors, the syndicated horror television show and new horror distributor on the block, is proud to announce, in association with Indie Pictures, it’s latest DVD release, The Directors Cut of critically acclaimed Filmmaker Roger Scheck’s twisted shocker, Nobody Loves Alice. As with all American Horrors releases, this DVD is packed with original material like an interview with Emmy Nominated Make Up Effects veteran Kenneth J. Hall, a music sampler from Nuclear Blast Records featuring music by Suffocation, Vader, SWWAATTS, Threat Signal, Augury, Korpiklaani, Candlemass, Echoes of Eternity, Samael, Hammerfall and Sirenia.

“Nobody Loves Alice is a great first feature for a filmmaker I think is someone to watch.” Said producer Hart D. Fisher. “Roger Scheck’s movie was a savage female flipside to my first feature, The Garbage Man, with a searing performance by Nitzan Mager and a very mature eye in Scheck’s direction. ”

“I've had same bad experiences with editors so I was expecting the worse when it came to editing the Director's Cut of Nobody Loves Alice. Hart Fisher is the first editor I actually had fun with in the editing bay. Most distributors would force you out of the room and make changes as they see fit.” Said writer director Roger A. Scheck. “American Horrors isn't just another heartless corporation out to turn a quick buck making horror films. This is a company that loves horror and is in business to terrify.”

When asked if there was a possible sequel to Nobody Loves Alice Mr. Scheck said “With the Director's Cut of Nobody Loves Alice hitting shelves in October I am announcing that yes, I have begun preproduction on the sequel, Somebody Loves Alice (Nobody Loves Alice 2), and I’m pleased to say we’ve got a real powerhouse cast.”

Somebody Loves Alice is a co-production between Scheck Media and PRP Pictures. Filming begins mid-may of 2010 in Groesbeck, Texas. The film will star Parrish Randall(The Quick and the Undead, Slaughter House, and Imago), Nitzan Mager (Nobody Loves Alice) and the amazing scream queen Brooke Lewis (The Sinatra Club, Dahmer Vs. Gacey, and iMurders).

Alice is a secretary at a new job. She is cute and shy but and has no problem fitting in and finding a few new friends right away. Beneath the surface hides an unloved child still acting out damaged fantasies of love and obsession. Roger A. Scheck’s Nobody Loves Alice is a blood soaked slide down into the worst kind of loving hell. Locked up with a demented woman, one man will hold onto hope for escape while his body is cut away from him, one piece at a time.

Mr. Fisher is currently seeking out more indie filmmakers, feature films, shorts and horror themed music videos for broadcast on American Horrors. Anyone interested in seeking out more information or wishes to submit their work for review, please contact us at: submissions@americanhorrors.com.

Twitter Killed My blog...

Twitter killed my blog...

Since I've been doing the twitter thing I've noticed I haven't had time or much juice for the journal. There's not much depth to anything with Twitter, it's a blunted fractured format for sure. I'm up at http://twitter.com/Hart_fisher for those that are interested.

Things are rolling right along and I'm feeling pretty good. It's amazing actually. Today I've been wrapping up the technical work for the Nobody Loves Alice Directors Cut, getting a drive ready to ship out to the replicators. That feels good. Putting another project to bed, putting another kick ass movie out on the street, man that's what I fucking live for. I love working with sharp creators, doing my best to maximize the strengths and eliminate the weaknesses. All under my new flag, the American Horrors banner.

Orders for Boneyard Press have picked up. Orders for The Garbage Man are picking up at the American Horrors store. The show is looking tight. The Fear in the Flatlands piece by John Specht is fucking awesome. Those guys really did a great piece of work in the face of tough odds. I knew they're bring me some heads though, they did not fail in that. It's a creepy, spooky piece. We're cleaning it up, putting more graphics in, tightening the running time for our UK version. I'm very excited about this piece.

I'm excited about everything American Horrors has it's hand in. This week end I've got a music video shoot that I'm proud to announce I can invite the fans too. It's a cool piece set at a Halloween party, and at a party, you need party goers. I'll have more material written up about this, but if you want to party down with the American Horrors crew at a killer party in the valley, then you need to look me up at info_at_crimepaysinc.com and we'll get you set up with a location and a time.

Right now though I've gotta get up and finish making my dinner. I've got fresh green peppers cut up, tomatoes, freshly made rice, some sharp cheddar cheese, and a big 'ol skillet of ground beef seasoned up for Tacos.

It's a good night for eatin' at the Fishers. Here's a link to my friend Brooke Lewis doing her thing on WGN with Harry Manfredini at this years Chicago Horror Film Festival. Keep kickin' ass on the promo Brooke!

Act of Destruction

If you're a fan of Iron Maiden, Yngwie Malmsteem & Metalica, you need to check out Act of Destruction. Hungry band out of Chicago who did the theme song for American Horrors, I'm listening to the new recording of "Die".

Things are moving forward steadily with American Horrors. We've got a experienced sales guy on board now, we've got Gary Guzzo and Dawn rocking the website, I've just made deals to put some cool indie material on AH. Ahhhhh, I love it when a plan comes together. We've got some amazing short films to put on the air, I've got great interviews coming up, a new music video shoot I'll write about later in the week, a new Garbage Man trailer in the works, a new post production reel, yeah, we're moving forward and ramming speed. With two decades in the horror game, I'm in a very different place than before. Reaction to my first movie, The Garbage Man has been fantastic. Get your copy now with free shipping and autograph right here: http://americanhorrors.com/store/home.php

My head's in a good place.

This weekend I missed the fights to go hang out with another married couple, old friends of Waka's with a wonderful little boy. The giggle monster was fun to play with, his old man was cool to sit and have a few beers with, talking. I still haven't seen my segment on The Verminators, but my mom loved it. Finally she had something to tell all of her friends about that didn't revolve around someone calling me a scumbag. A very nice feather in my re-emergence. Her friends called her up while they were watching the show. That put a big smile on Mom's face, and that's always a good thing.

With The Garbage Man released and the directors cut of Nobody Loves Alice complete, I can focus on American Horrors, and the other new projects. What new projects? How about a new set of Poems for the Dead books. Then there's the reprinting of a big chunk of Boneyard Press material. That's right, I've got a literary agent making the rounds with the BP library, looking for some trade paperback deals.

I'm working on a guest editorial for a horror website and putting together the PR for the American launch of AH. We've been talking to some PR/Corporate branding firms and I think I've got one I like. The interview I did for Black Oak Presents came out, I think it's a good solid read. You can get your pdf here: www.blackoakmedia.org/Magazine.html

But now, I've gotta get back to putting the final tweaks to a directors reel for one of my editing customers. He loved what I had for him last week, now I'm just putting our final tweaks on it.

Looking to be a great day.

Feelin' Damn Good

Things are going pretty good for me and the Waka monster.

Moving the office was the right decision. I was sick of the commute, the drive was tough on Waka, and I didn't need to be on that side of town anymore. Packing it up and putting down in the new bays has been really good for my mood. I get into work smoother, I like the work space. And things are popping. Lots of good new energy juicin' up.

The garage sale we had last weekend was cool too. We got to clear out a lot of old stuff we didn't need anymore, stuff we didn't use, stuff that was just takin' up space and aging. We got to meet more of our neighbors, we got to hang out with cool people and just spend the day relaxing on the porch.

I got to escort my friend Gen to her movie premier at The Sunset 5. The movie was great, Sugar Boxx, a modern women in chains exploitation movie and Gen looked great bare'in it all for the crazy girls behind bars chick fights. It was a fun movie. The theater was hootin' and laughing. It was a great night. I was very happy for Gen, she was also having her cooking show premier on Ion that week. Very cool. She's been great for pooling information and resources. I got to meet a lot of solid movie people and industry hook ups that night too, and hey, squiring a beautiful blond around Hollywood on a Saturday Night wasn't bad either.

I've been working plenty of hours on American Horrors, recruiting Gary "Mad Man" Guzzo to the American Horrors team has been a major accomplishment. Gary's on board all the way, doing marketing, publicity duties, and web master. Can I get a motherfuckin' AMEN MOTHERFUCKA!!!!! Gary's a hard charging dude with a ton of music biz, comics biz connections up the wazoo. He and his wife, Dawn, are tag teaming the art chores over here at AH so I've got more time to attack programming and getting our programming on in the air here in the States. Check out the revamp of the website going on right now at www.americanhorrors.com.

I've got lot of big smiles on my face as I power through the issues of my day. I've got more to get folks caught up on, but I'll save something for tomorrow. For now though, good check out the latest posting of mine over at In Cold Blog, you know, my critically acclaimed series of articles... yeah, I'm stickin' it to some hatin' lyin' cocks out there reading my journal, livin' large is the best revenge folks!

Got this in the email yesterday from a true crime survivor, someone who's really been through some brutal, painful, soul destroying shit.

"...you're method of presenting your work is phenomenol (sp?) ... I love the way you put things into vision... they are not words but a movie. I really think that the writing style you display not only grabs the reader and keeps them on the edge of their seat but that your ability to be so amazingly descriptive is awsome. I am really drawn to your work and think that you will be a writer that I keep my eye on"

Come on over to In Cold Blog to see what she's talkin' about. http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com

HORROR CREATOR HART D. FISHER MEETS THE VERMINATORS SEPTEMBER 13TH ON THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL!

HORROR CREATOR HART D. FISHER MEETS THE VERMINATORS SEPTEMBER 13TH ON THE DISCOVERY CHANNEL!

DISCOVERY CHANNELS’ ELITE TEAM OF PEST BUSTERS CONFRONTS THE HORROR DIRECTORS’ WORST FEAR- RATS!

LOS ANGELES, CA- Horror show host and The Garbage Man writer/director, Hart D. Fisher, went head to head with his worst fear, fighting a rat & black widow spider infestation in his Los Angeles home, and had to call in the cavalry- The Discovery Channel’s elite group of pest busters, The Verminators. When ISOTECH expert Gary gets the call from the horror film director with a fear of rats, he discovers the real scare is the threat the rodents pose to the health of his wife, who is recovering from cervical cancer.

“We had rats in the trees, in our attic, under the house, it was driving me nuts, it was driving my wife nuts, and when things start to bother my wife, the kid gloves come off.” said American Horrors host, Hart D. Fisher "I may live and breath horror movies, but when you find a black widow spider crawling across your big toe in the bath tub and you’ve got rats staring at you through the window, it’s time to call in the professionals. The guys from Isotech, they really kicked ass on these rats & spiders.”

The Verminators “Lights! Camera! Vermin!” featuring the adventures at Mr. Fisher’s home will air this Sunday, September 13th at 9am on The Discovery Channel. “They brought over a bug wrangler and a couple BOXES of black widows. It was not easy holding still while they dangled the biggest Black Widow I’ve ever seen over my big toe with crazy glue and piano wire.” Added Mr. Fisher. “It took a lot of self control to just sit there with that big bug an inch away from my toe hanging by next to nothing but you either go big, or go home.”

Watched The Wrestler Tonight...

"I watched The Wrestler tonight, found it to be very moving.

It made me think about some of the conversations I've had with Gene LeBell, about the ring, about his family, losing his wife, having his brother turn into his enemy. I understood about pain in the ring, pain in life. Mickey Roarke talkin' about being a broken down old piece of meat, all alone, yeah I fuckin' got it. I'll admit, my eyes were wet...

The old guys signing autographs in almost empty rooms, the boredom, the vacant stares. The big men crammed into little changing areas. Waka had a hard time with the film. It wasn't her cup of tea. I got it big time. The movie spoke to me.

I remember staring across the floor in at a show in Detroit, looking at the guy who drew Green Lantern in the sixties, no one at his table, the guy next to him asleep, half heart'd sketch on the table unfinished. I remember talking to the big bad guy from Escape From New York, how he had a hard time holding the pen to sign my book. I remember him limping out of the show at the end of the day.

I knew I wasn't going to go there.

I wasn't going to be the Boneyard thug, drinkin' and raising hell with a couple strippers at little shows in Muncie at 45... fuck that shit. What I didn't count on was how many of the people I loved weren't ready to change, how many weren't ready to live a better life. They fought hard to keep me down, fucked with my head, told lies about me when they knew better, took what I let them take like little children. Greedy. Resentful.

I could be bitter, but it's not worth my time. I don't expend energy on thinking about them. I'm on a different road now, watching some of the ghosts sliping in the rearview, watching them curse me as they fade away, as I make my escape to a better life with someone who loves and respects me. Someone who doesn't tear me down, make me feel ugly when the light shining in the skies is so bright...

Yeah, The Wrestler really made it's dent. The taped up elbows, guys climbing out on the mat with velcro'd knees, legs wrapped up tight, like sausage links. Fighters on their way up, fighters who've almost gotten the title but blew it on ego...

The Wrestler is over. Waka's in bed waiting for me. My mind's almost finished packing up it's scars, listening to The Cinematic Orchestra, playing "Breathe" over and over, letting the night wash over me.... letting the dark come...

Tomorrow will be a new day, those ghost will be a little more grey, a little more gone, and I'll be further down my new road to the top..."

Yes Men, Today I Lived The Dream...

I inspired a Rad Girls sketch. I feel touched, way down low, someplace dirty. They shot their segment today over at Gene & Gokor's Hayastan Dojo. It's a female humor gross out stunt group. I met up with one of the girls, Clementine, over at Craven Moorehead's place. She was cool. We got along, I sent over some of my youtube clips. She flipped over the choke out video. Sent it to all the Rad Girls. Now today I started my day at Gokor's watching 3 hot chicks getting put to sleep by Rowdy Roddy Pipers daughter. She was super cool. Choked those girls right the fuck out. Each one reacted differently. Can't wait to see how the stunts went down in Hollyweird after they got used to gettin' put to sleep.

Check their shit out: www.radgirls.tv

It was damn good to see Gokor and Steve Kim. Gokor was looking mean after doing some Judo fighting with the Cuban Olympic champ. The grey bear's still got it! I gotta get my ass back out on a matt. Be good to put my mind someplace else besides work for awhile.

Smilin' wide today. Good vibe in the air. Gonna go crank up some old Cult albums...

Here's something dark for you. Something from my personal pain locker...

Whew... Man I Feel Good...

I've been pulling my hair out for awhile trying to figure out my online shopping cart over at Americanhorrors.com. Finally, finally, with no help from the shopping cart people at all, no technical support phone line, just email and excuses, I finally fixed it and it's working great. You want to get your hands on a signed copy of The Garbage Man on DVD? Order it from me, free shipping, and I'll sign'em all. Here's the link: http://americanhorrors.com/store

Right now I'm pushing The Garbage Man as hard as I can. It's been such a load off of my chest when I finally got those videos on Friday. Unpacking the boxes, taking them out, signing the covers for the various guys who wanted them first. Man what a great feeling.

Right now American Horrors is going through the process over in the UK to prep it for the air. We've got other folks interested too. Again, great goddamn feeling. Tonight, I'm focusing my attention there. Right where it needs to be.

Here's some fun for y'all...

Long time, no typing....

Yep, it's been another long wait since I last did a blog. For your current daily fix of mouth, you can check me on Twitter. You heard me right, I'm up on Twitter. http://twitter.com/Hart_fisher and that's about all I've had time to write on outside of work. By the time my day's closing to an end, I'm completely computer fried. I've been wearing a lot of hats with American Horrors and there's a lot of insane things going on with it. The last couple of weeks have been nuts. Doing our normal work on top of the mastering of the shows. Besides me there's two other editors working full time on the show. I step in at the end, give it my final touch. On top of that, I've been pounding away on as a script doctor for Joe Hollow's music video project. I turned his 12 story into a 30 page script. He loved it, then threw me two more scenes to work into the script. This is some bloody, horrific nastiness. I can't wait to get finished shooting on this project and get cutting on it.

The response to The Garbage Man's release was amazing. What a great feeling to finally unleash my beast upon the world. I had people telling me for years that I should give up on the movie. My college roommates, the guys who were supposed to cut this in the first place, they gave up the project and both tried to get me to give up on it. I had a girlfriend tell me that I should give up on because "she knew way more talented people than me who had failed."

Well fuck them all. Fuck all of those lying backstabbing, no good cocksuckers in the eye. I taught myself how to edit on this film, I reinvented the film in post, it's a real primal scream in a dark place. Folks have loved the movie, we've gotten some great reviews in print by Rue Morgue and on the web at www.horrornews.net and more. The demand on Netflix is solid, but if you're reading this, and you've got a netflix account, then you should put The Garbage Man in your que. The more people that have it in their que, the more copies of the movie Netflix will purchase. See how that works? It's simple.

Last week I had my several hardcore financial meetings about taking American Horrors to the US shores. I got past the first set of hurdles with ease. American Horrors is going to be a serious brand with serious financial partners and corporate sponsorship. I'm taking my game up several notches. I'm going for the big time on this. The response from the corporate world has been STRONG. I'm setting up meetings with some big brands, can't shout it out to the rooftops in public yet, but behind the scenes, I'm jumping for joy. I've been banging out marketing materials, financial plans, budgets, phone conferences, screenings, I mean, Jesus, it's a good thing I'm the guy on this 'cuz I'm not sure how many other folks out there can keep this kind of pace at this skill level. I'm pushing myself, pushing myself, pushing, pushing and not letting up. I'm throwing bombs and not letting up an inch on this material.

Luckily I found some time to bail out Saturday night over to my buddy Robert's place for a UFC 101 party. I brought with me the Gracie/Sakuraba rematch for after the fights. It was a great time. I love the space Robert's put together. One part studio, one part party place, one part dungeon. I've shot a few things over at his place, always have a good time there. What the hell was up with the Griffin/Silva fight? Did the guy take a dive for an easy dollar? Why did he run out of the ring like that? I didn't like the early stoppage in the Amir fight. Amir got hit with a flash knockdown, while he's down, Johnny leaps on his back and starts pounding the shit out of the back of Amir's head. They stopped the fight, but for the wrong reason. I counted six heavy strikes to the BACK of Amir's head. Doesn't any of the judges have eyes to watch the replay where you count'em out?

I was really bummed to hear about Barnett testing positive for steroids again and the collapse of the Fedor fight.

Welllll, time for me to get back into watching submissions for American Horrors. I've got a big week ahead of me. More meetings, more work, and another installment of my True Crime writing for In Cold Blog. I read through the News Week special on True Crime. I wasn't impressed. Most of it read like a puff piece. Walter Mosley's piece was a rambling mess. They should have had James Ellroy write about it. Funny how you can smell the difference between the scarred and those wearing make up.

The real thing doesn't need an introduction.

Disturbing True Story of the Murder Behind Blue Eyes... REPOST!

The Disturbing True Story of the Murder Behind The Garbage Man…
Press Release 7/27/09: Contact: info_a_crimepaysinc.com for more details or graphics.

When best selling true crime author Corey Mitchell sent Michelle McKee, the editor of his #1 True Crime site (In Cold Blog), out looking for a 1st Amendment champion that pulled no punches, she got all of that and more in horror creator Hart D. Fisher. What has come forth from this union has been a heart wrenching tale of rape, murder and utter mayhem, a story of a marked man and his nearly decade long secret battle to keep a killer behind bars. If Mr. Fisher had deep scars to hide from the public, they are all revealed here in a riveting series of articles published once a month at In Cold Blog (http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com).

“While he defended his rights in front of a national audience Hart Fisher was suffering in his own private Hell.” Offers Michelle McKee, “Fisher was not only defending his right to publish material that the family members of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims found objectionable, he was also attending a murder trial [as a major witness].”

While Mr. Fisher’s work through his controversial publishing house, Boneyard Press, was being lynched in the mainstream media on shows like The Jerry Springer Show, Entertainment Tonight, and A Current Affair, his personal life was a warzone filled with death threats, violence, rape and robbery, but the worst was yet to come. Seven days into shooting his first feature film, The Garbage Man, Mr. Fisher suffered a loss that would break him utterly, the brutal rape and murder of his first love and live-in girlfriend, Michelle Davis, during a horrific motel robbery.

Mr. Fisher was a key witness in the 3 separate trials of Eric Daniels, the murderer of his love. Each trial more brutal, more gut twisting than the last, with fistfights in the jury room, a murderer nearly set free, a prison guard stabbed in the face, all secrets Mr. Fisher kept from the public while he fought for his 1st amendment freedoms at every turn.

For the first time ever, the riveting author of Poems for the Dead writes about this and much more. If you thought you knew Hart D. Fisher, think again.

Here are links and excerpts from Hart Fisher’s riveting true account of the murder and madness that went on behind the set of his first feature film, The Garbage Man:

http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com/2009/02/news-at-eleven.html

“I knew what was going on. I knew what they needed to get hunting. He went down his list too slow. When I had to describe the tattoo I’d drawn for her, the one on her belly, the one they identified the body with, I knew her face had been fucked up.

I knew someone hurt her before it ended.”

http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com/2009/03/i-guess-youre-human-after-all.html

“Her grandmother was telling people in Dallas, where she had went to high school, that I’d filmed her murder for my movie The Garbage Man. A few weeks earlier I was sitting at Grandma’s kitchen table, drinking her lemonade, laughing. Now I couldn’t believe what she was saying about me.”

http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com/2009/04/pain-settles-and-calls-my-heart-home.html

“Without thinking, I pushed the cassette in. My ears burned. Listening to it hurt. At one point I had to pull over to the side of the road. My hands trembled. I put my head down on the wheel. At home I knew there was mail to sort, dogs to feed, and death threat messages to delete.”

http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com/2009/05/dont-leave-me-alone-with-gun.html

“San Diego is surreal. I’m a mess. Home is worse.

I know her killer is locked up somewhere in town. I want him like I’ve never wanted anything in my life before. I want to feel him breaking under my knuckles. I want to bathe in his screams. I want to bruise his soul. The brutality of this need pushes…

I’m hanging on as hard as I can but I’ve spun out way over the edge.”

http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com/2009/06/if-i-get-near-him-ill-kill-him.html

“Now Daniels was telling folks that he had a relationship with Michelle. The press was all over it. Black male assailant, pretty white girl, yeah they loved this goddamn story, ran it right into the ground. The police needed me to testify as to Michelle’s physical condition before she went to work. They needed me to testify on the witness stand about our sex life. They wanted to know if Michelle liked to be hit, if I had hit her, if we had rough sex.”

http://incoldblogger.blogspot.com/2009/07/i-never-heard-from-girl-again.html

“She was crying, his fist was angry, so goddamn angry, yelling at her. She had her hands up, her head ducked down, trying to hide from those fists. I watched the fist coming down again and again while he spun her around with his grip on her t-shirt. I could see the tears on her face in the street light, the pain of the blows.

I knew about pain. I knew about fists.”

People Know the Real Thing when they See It...

"I read Hart D. Fisher’s Poems for the Dead back in the late nineties and was inspired by the very genuine and fearless way in which he expressed difficult emotions in his work. From him, I learned to dig a little deeper in my own works and take the risk to reveal more of my truth."
-Julie Kasten/Dancing Amidst the Chaos

The Following is taken from an interview from: http://beyondthedarkhorizon.com/main/?p=79

BTDH: Let’s talk about some of the projects you have released. “Poems for the Dead” is a classic! What kind of impact has it had on readers?

HDF: In the fall of 2006, while my wife was fighting for her life with cancer in a Japanese hospital, I was quietly going insane alone in my house in Los Angeles. It was around Thanksgiving and I got a call from some guy in a metal band that wanted me to come down to the “Whiskey-A-Go-Go” to see his show. He said he was a big fan of “Poems for the Dead” and he wanted to meet me. I’d never heard of his band, but I needed to get out of my house, talk to some people instead of the four walls.

Well, I got to the show and met a very articulate poet from Portugal named Fernando. He was the lead singer for this band “Moonspell.” The first thing he tells me on the bus is that I was a very, very hard man to find. This is a very tall, serious, deep voiced dude, and out comes this tale of his quest to find me ever since one of his fans gave him a copy of “Poems for the Dead,” two years earlier while they were on tour in Mexico. Two years he’d been on the hunt. Actions speak louder than words, the book had really made an impression on him.

We hung out most of the night backstage, I caught their show, which was great, and then I hung with them on their bus for awhile. I was very impressed with Fernando, very well spoken man. This is the kind of person that is a fan of “Poems for the Dead.” I’ve met folks high and low that have been marked by this book. I’ve been surprised by its penetration into the world.

BTDH: What does this body of work mean to you?

HDF: For me, it’s a very personal piece of my madness. The book is real. It’s a period of time that I’m lucky to have survived. I don’t normally think of its impact on other people unless it is put right in my face. I know that the fans of it are very, very, loyal people who live or die by that book. I take their respect seriously and feel honored by it.

As of right now, I only have a few 1st print copies of Poems for the Dead left. You can get'em signed right here (free shipping): http://americanhorrors.com/store/home.php

Holy Shit, Who Let a Lion Loose in Here?!?

Haven't written in my blog for what seems like ages. Why?

I've been working my goddamned ass off, that's why. Last week was a six day work week, this week is more of the same. 12 hour days, 15 hour days, none of it matters, I only see what's in front of me- THE PRIZE. I spent a great deal of my youth in a crazed state. I know very well what it means to be fractured, to be broken, to be betrayed, to be destroyed by the people you love. All of this pain is energy. Energy I've focused like a laser beam to split my world into a new universe.

You think I'm just working on a tv show? Better think again kids, this is a do or die situation. I'm here to kill and kill again. I'm not quiting until I own the horror genre. I believe in peace through superior fire power. I believe you get more done with a kind word and gun than a kind word alone. I'm coming for it fuckers. I'm coming hot and heavy.

We signed the deal for the United Kingdom. We've been in post cutting a half hour version of American Horrors. Waka's been kicking ass on it. I've been the master hand that comes in and gives the show it's final touches and final mastering. This week I've got 5 mastered and ready to go. We're going on weekly and I like this half hour format, the show really moves, a real show for horror fanatics that isn't shot in someone's crappy basement. This is a quality show.

Now we're doing the syndication hustle and this weekend I was burning up my computer putting together presentation materials for the suits in America that have been eyeballing our big bad monster of a machine. The word is coming down and the word is good. I'm actively pursuing financial partners in this venture. You want to get goddamn rich and not have to sweat blood? Come to me. Contracts are signed. The season is half shot. We've got deals pending that are going to make you hard like you've never been hard in your life. The opportunity that is before me... I'm going for it like I've never gone after anything in my entire life. From this war springs all things important to me. Money, Stability for my wife, healthcare for my wife, an ability to do the movies and books I've always wanted to do...

Yeah, I'm working hard. My crew is working hard. I've got a real serious group of hard chargin' young toughs. Together we're unstoppable. I always had an eye for talent, now I'm putting it to use. Because of the show, I've been able to network and surf through the horror business like I never could have as just a creator. I've met so many amazing people, great indie promoters, indie directors, writers, distributors, it's been mind blowing.

Today I'm feeling pretty beat down. Waka's been in Japan for nearly two weeks dealing with a family emergency. I've been doing both of our jobs, it's worn me out. I've been changing my sleep clock and working out in the mornings in the sun. Hammer and fold, that is how you make a sword, Hammer and fold. That is what life has done to me. I am a sharp edge who's survived many battles, many deaths. I'm alive. I'm hungry. I'm moving forward. No time for talk. No time for fear. There is only NOW.

If you haven't read the In Cold Blog postings, you're missing out. It's heavy, heavy, heavy reading. You want to know what kind of Lion's tail you just grabbed, read through it. They were savage days and I'm only just getting started. It's a dark ride that's only going to get darker. I've been getting serious praise from true crime writers like Burl Barer, websites like Bleedingcool.com, and blowing away the comics industry vets.

For those of you who’ve been waiting years to get your copy of The Garbage Man, you can get it at Amazon.com, Netflix, a slew of online retailers, or you could get directly from the American Horrors webstore, free shipping and all, right here:
